The Role

***Role can be Sydney or Melbourne Based

The Ecommerce and CRM Consultant will have a strong commitment to delivery excellence and seeing their clients exceed commercial targets. They will work across a range of clients including leading retailers and brands, as well as niche players and start ups.

This role will have dual responsibilities across ecommerce trading and CRM client engagements.

Ecommerce trading engagements will involve optimising the trading of online stores through the delivery of best practice ecommerce trading strategies, coordinating website development and UAT, overseeing digital marketing activities, executing copywriting, merchandising, reporting and other activities to attract, convert and retain ecommerce customers.

CRM management engagements will involve working on clients email marketing strategy, development and execution. This will entail being the liaison between the client and the email development team, ensuring best practice email build, segment or journey creation as well as deployment and reporting within the client’s email platform. At times this will also involve troubleshooting any issues that may arise and so HTML knowledge is highly regarded, however not essential.

As a Consultant, this role will also be involved with project-based consultancy work for our clients including but not limited to Customer Experience Audits, Competitor Analysis, User Acceptance Testing, Website Launches, Website Migrations and Digital Marketing Audits.

The successful applicant will act as an advocate for Pattern and is expected to foster awareness of Pattern and our services, maintain ongoing relationships with existing clients, identify account development opportunities and support team members in the development of compelling business proposals.

  1. Work with the Senior Consultants and Principal Consultants to identify new business opportunities within existing client networks.
  2. Participates in proposal creation and takes part in the pitch process when needed.

Marketing

  1. Attend where required networking opportunities to grow the Pattern brand.
  2. Support in the development of marketing materials including blogs and case studies.

Product Strategy

  1. Identify and action opportunities to deliver work more efficiently, saving time and increasing profitability.
  2. Ongoing optimisation of templates, reports, presentations and other client deliverables.

Skills and qualifications

  • 2+ years experience working in an retail ecommerce or CRM role
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (Shopify, Magento, Salesforce etc)
  • Experience with Email and CRM platforms
  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platform
  • Intermediate MS word, Excel and general computer skills
  • Commercial and forecasting experience
  • Experience reading reports and providing analysis
  • Experience with digital marketing agencies (desirable)
