Pattern is seeking a talented, creative Content Marketing Specialist to successfully build out compelling content for one of the fastest-growing ecommerce companies in the world. This candidate will report directly to the Content Marketing Manager, and their role will be to engage B2B prospects with compelling, informative, and top-notch content including blogs, case studies, videos, infographics, direct mail, social media, etc.

This role will primarily own and execute Pattern’s blog and social media content calendars. This includes executing a basic content promotion strategy through paid advertising, and will also include assisting the Content Marketing Manager with strategic content initiatives. This role is based in Lehi, UT.

Demonstrated expertise in concepting, writing, and editing is a must. Our ideal candidate is a team-spirited, skilled, and imaginative writer and editor with an eye for detail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, execute, and manage timelines for the concepting, creation, and execution of Pattern’s blog and social media calendar
  • Writing clear, attractive, error-free copy that adheres to the company’s style guidelines and has a clear voice
  • Using both written and technical SEO principles to maximize our content’s reach and effectiveness
  • Collaborating with marketing teammates, designers, and other professionals on marketing projects and to brainstorm creative concepts
  • Conducting high-quality research and interviews with in-house ecommerce experts
  • Editing and proofreading copy as needed
  • Analyzing content performance and pulling useful data insights on content for the company
  • Writing highly engaging social media content that reflects our brand’s voice
  • Simultaneously managing multiple projects with short deadlines
  • Driving the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication, conversion, and closed deals
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Superb writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Highly organized and can manage workloads effectively
  • Proven experience concepting and measuring successful content marketing campaigns from end to end
  • Experienced in content project management and managing multiple freelancers and internal writers
  • Expertise applying and validating both written and technical SEO principles in the digital space
  • Creative storytelling expertise for content creation that drives shareability, awareness, and leads
  • Expertise using organic and paid social media campaigns to expand content reach
  • Expertise using LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook to grow organic followers through content
  • Strong research skills and apply learnings to content in a creative way
  • Strong content analytics skills (Google Analytics, Hubspot, etc.)

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years proven experience as a copywriter or related role (preferably in the B2B or ecommerce space)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related program
  • Experience in producing copy for digital, print, and broadcast channels
  • A proven history of taking on, owning, and growing content projects or initiatives with gusto
  • Able and eager to see other people's points of view and take on critical feedback
  • Able to work under pressure with tight timelines
  • Able to work well in a team and with a range of creative people
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strongly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
  • Basic familiarity with Markdown, HTML, or similar preferred
  • Demonstrated success in managing a business social media presence
  • Exceptional skill with the nuances of social media writing including the use of hashtags, emoji, and acronyms
  • Experience running social media campaigns on various platforms
