The strategy division is central to the business in many ways – both as a revenue generating division for paid consulting work, as a lead generation function for marketplace clients and as an internal support function for our partner brands - identifying growth opportunities for the brands we represent, helping them to accelerate into new markets and channels.

We are looking for a dynamic Director of Strategy who has experience in winning and delivering client projects in the field of ecommerce and has either built or run a team. An established network and proven experience in bringing on new business is key.

Your focus will be on defining the overarching direction on the consultancy team, identifying opportunities to expand our remit and break into new markets. You will report into the General Manager for Europe and work closely with them to deliver growth across the department and wider business by supporting on internal strategy projects.

What is a day in the life of a Director of Strategy?

You will be pivotal to bringing on new clients, focusing on developing a network in the industry, actively outreaching to potential brands, and pulling together pitches and proposals. You’ll know how to present ecommerce consultancy services to brands and what it takes to secure their business.

To secure new clients, you will have the ability to understand the direction an organisation’s ecommerce needs to take to grow. A conceptual visionary thinker, you understand ecommerce and how digital channels play within an Omnichannel strategy and understand the levers that can be pulled to improve performance.

You will be knowledgeable of and/or experienced in areas such as Customer experience, DTC, Digital Marketing, International expansion.

A delivery team is in place to execute once a project has been designed and planned. Management of team members and stakeholders within clients will be a key part of the role.

A strong line manager, you will have experience of helping younger team members to grow and develop their strategic thinking skills. You will be a great communicator as you build relationships with different teams both in the UK and Germany and across the world with our US, Australian and Asian teams

What will I need to thrive in this role?

REQUIRED:

  • An established senior leader with experience in a management consultancy, ecommerce or marketing agency managing multiple clients.
  • International experience – working on projects across Europe and the Rest of the World
